"Abu"
1991-2008
--your strength and peace remain
Abu was Jens' first cat of her own in her first apartment of her own. He was the
cutest ball of black fluff. He came out looking like a monkey and was named after the
little monkey in the movie "Aladdin", which turned out to fit perfectly. One of Abu's
favorite games was to hold onto a kitchen towel with all four feet and get swung
around. When he was done playing, he would fall asleep holding onto the towel.
Something that was discovered early on was that Abu loved riding in cars...but hated
riding in the carrier, so he was leash trained. He went into his carrier to sleep
sometimes, but if put in there, he would hyper-ventilate. When visiting the vet, he was
the star of the lobby because he was so well behaved on a leash and went right up to
anybody for a little love. Abu had his share of health issues and household ups and
downs, but at 17 years old, remained the ruler of his roost all the way to the end. He
was Jens' rock solid kitty and he definitely left a cat legacy to be desired!
