Team Set Up 8am
Begins at 8am...please, no earlier. We know you are eager to get the Relay started and so are we. You will have plenty of
time to set everything up.
Registration Opens 10am
10am...If you sign up online, you will have no forms to fill out. If you wait until the day of Relay, you will have to take a
minute to fill out a couple of forms...a waiver and registration form. Anyone under 18, please have a parent/guardian
present.
Passport to Health Starts 10:45am
Go to each campsite and fill in the answers to the passport trivia questions...they're all about cancer. The kids prize will be
Guitar Hero III and the adults prize will be an iPod with iTunes gift card. Get moving and visit every campsite to complete
your passport and enter to win!
Welcome/Opening Ceremonies 11am
Gather 'round for the start of something wonderful! Kicking off the event of the year in Monrovia...don't miss it!
Survivor Victory Lap 11:30am
We just want to celebrate another day of living...please join survivors in their first Relay 08 Victory Lap. Monrovia Relay
celebrates pet and human survivors, so look for a couple of dogs during the Survivor Victory Lap.
Hair-Cut-A-Thon 12-3pm
You can make a difference, donate your hair! Hair loss can strike an especially crippling blow to women fighting cancer. In
fact, a recent study revealed that nearly 60 percent of women consider hair loss the most dreaded side effect they face
when undergoing chemotherapy. Donating your hair is a heartfelt and life-changing act of women's cancer and breast
cancer support. But guys, don’t feel left out! Shave your head and make a statement! We will have James Fontenot from
Bellisima Salon to make sure you are left with a beautiful new do! More information about donating your hair coming soon.
Silent Auction 12-7pm
Bid silently on great items such as private airplane rides, gift packages, pet products, you name it, we'll be auctioning it off!
Good luck! Winners will be announced at 7:30pm and the Live Auction Begins...
Lap Dogs 1-4pm
Rent-A-Lap Dog from Team Two Dogs Petsitting: For $1 donation, you can walk with a furry friend. Breeds/Dogs to choose
from: "Banjo"Chihuahua/Doxie Mix, "Tiberius"Lhasa Apso, "Bicycle"Shepherd Mix, or "Bella" and "Hoover"Labradoodles.
Banjo, Tiberius, and Bicycle will be available for 24 hours.
Team Photos 3-4:30pm
Have a team photo taken to remember the Relay For Life of Monrovia 2008 and all the incredible experiences your teams
are having together!
Chili Cook-Off 3-6pm
Beans, meat, tomatoes, may the best chili win! Think you are the next Iron Chef? Put your chili cookin' skills to the test.
Cook the judges the best chili and you can win a cool prize! The cook-off will take place from 3-6pm. Winners announced
at 7:15pm.
Relay Team Olympics 3:10-4:00pm
Think you can outrun Rocky? Enter your team in a challenge to be the best. Compete against other Relay Teams to see if
your team has what it takes to win it all! You will not only win cool prizes but bragging rights for the entire night.
Free Reiki Sessions 4:45-7pm in 15 minute sessions
With Cyhndi Mora (Team Molach)...experience the rejuvenation and relaxation you will need during Relay.
Live Auction 7:30-8pm
Bid on dinner packages, time spent with Monrovia Firefighters...and much, much more! Good luck, the competition gets
pretty fierce!
Ms Relay Contest 8-9pm
Dude looks like a lady. Hey guys, think those high heels aren’t that hard to walk in? Here is your opportunity to show us
that you have what it takes to fill Ms Relay 2007's high heels! The Ms Relay Contest will begin at 8pm when our beautiful
fellas will answer questions then strut their stuff around the park to collect the most donations. The guy with the most
donations will be crowned Ms Relay 2008...you do not want to miss this!
Luminaria Ceremony 9-10pm
You can honor a cancer survivor or remember someone who was lost to cancer by creating a special Luminaria in their
honor or memory. Each luminaria will be lit at the ceremony to shine as a beacon of hope for others.
Poker Tournament 12-4am
Sign up to participate in our poker tournament! No real money and if you prevail, you will win a cool prize!
May the Best of the Best Win Awards Ceremony 10:45am
Awards for the best Team Spirit, Best Decorated Campsite, Biggest Team, Highest Individual Fundraiser, and Highest
Fundraising Team will be announced on Sunday morning...don't miss the awards ceremony (10:45am) right before the
Final Lap at 11:00am.
